About the Doctor
Dr. Joseph Sivak, is an
outpatient psychiatrist
serving the Twin Ports and
Northeastern Minnesota, and maintains the only full-time private practice in this region.
Dr. Sivak is a graduate of the
Hahnemann University School of Medicine
in Philadelphia and completed his residency in Psychiatry at the
University of Rochester
and Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, New York.
He is certified by the
American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
He has over 10 years experience as a practicing Psychiatrist. Dr. Sivak has lived in the
Twin Ports for 7 years and is understanding of the culture and life
style in the upper Midwest.
Dr. Sivak has been a national and international speaker on depression, anxiety, Alzheimer's Disease, grief, trauma and post traumatic stress disorder.
Dr. Sivak has served on The Board of Directors of the Northland Chapter of the
American Red Cross, the Minnesota Alzheimer's Association and was a Co-Founder and Board member of Michael's House, a center for grieving children in Cleveland.
